DoodleDandyRescue.com
The Client:
Doodle Dandy Rescue – An all volunteer based dog rescue and rehabilitation program for poodle mixes in need in Texas
The Live Site:

The Purpose:
This website is mainly informative and designed to promote and instill trust in the rescue, let people know which dogs are up for adoption, and which dogs will be coming soon. There are bio pages for each available dog that link to the dog’s adoption application and provide a portal for volunteers to apply to help with the rescue or to foster dogs. There is a payment portal that accepts adoption fees and donations.
The look:
Doodle Dandy already had a website built on Wix when I came on board. It was my job to streamline the site and make it look more professional and easy to read and navigate. They work with a predefined set of colors and fonts that promote a fun personality and an all American feel with the red, white and blue color pallet. Their motto is Work Hard. Have fun. Save Doodles and it was my goal to get the motto across with the look of the site.
Special Features:
Every dog image shown on this website is an actual Doodle Dandy Rescue Dog.
The front slider is changed out seasonally for fun and freshness.
The site is integrated with paypal to collect donations and adoption fees quickly and easily both via credit card and paypal.
The site needs to be updated several times a week with new dogs moving through a system from “Coming Soon” (dogs who are in foster care) to “Adoptable”, to “Happily Every Adopted” and there are several large galleries of dogs that get updated. Doodle Dandy needed a system of updating that was easy for their volunteers to handle.
The site is integrated with Jotforms to help with the volunteer, foster, and adoption applications that are used so regularly.
